I would definitely reccomend staying at this hostel. It's located 20 mins away from the centre of Kandy and great to be in nature, away from the hustle and bustle. It's very close to Peradniya station, from where you can get the train to Ella. The hosts were lovely and very knowledge. He gave us a tour of the trees/ plants around the property and also dropped us of to the station :)

If you want an authentic and down to earth experience with locals, this is the place for you! Asanka is a lovely host who really goes the extra mile to make his guests feel welcome. He organised a very affordable full day tour in and around Kandy which was definitely a highlight! This is a homestay, so don’t expect luxury conditions. The private room was a little cold in the night, and there was no hot water, but apart from that it was definitely one of the most memorable hostels we’ve stayed in

Not a 10 because it’s the perfect hostel, but because it’s the most I’ve got back from a hostel. Give it a chance and you’ll discover hidden Kandy gems, amazing home cooked breakfasts and genuine authenticity. And yes, if you stay here you’ll catch the Ella train!
