Jongno Stay

The owner, GO, was kind and accommodating. He was easy to talk to and offered assistance in every way he could. I appreciated that he was available via text up until late. The beds at this hostel are tidy, the room is small like most hostels in Asia. The common room having a large TV was also nice to relax. Unfortunately, the hostels bathroom and shower areas are very dirty. It looked like there was either not enough staff or no cleaning staff.

JongnoStay was affordable and comfortable. I stayed in a private room this time, and it was clean, quiet, and very pleasant. OG was an incredible host, always responding to any questions I had in less than 5 minutes, including local food and services recommendations. My only complaint is that some of the stairwells and halls were cluttered with storage boxes and was not very visually pleasing as a guest. Otherwise, I had a wonderful experience with OG and JongnoStay.

I stayed in a private room, which was nice and quiet. Kitchenette and washing machine a major plus. I did not use the communal space. Owner was so friendly and had great communication. Downsides: my room had a strange almost kimchi smell that persisted, and the exit sign illuminated in the room was quite bright. Overall, I would stay again.
