Al Carajo House is a small rustic hostel located on the main road of Spondylus, 200 meters from the main village of Montanita, just after the bridge, and 200 meters from the beach.
We offer simple rooms with comfortable beds, with private or shared bathrooms.
We also have a parking lot, a barbecue, where you can cook meat, a small garden, a shared kitchen, a seating area, and a cafe bar, where you can order breakfast, lunch, and dinner and spend a pleasant time in the evening with a glass of beer or a cocktail.
Our cafe bar also periodically hosts various classes on the preparation of local food. In the evening, the bar periodically organizes classes on the preparation of various cocktails.
Within walking distance from our hostel, there is a TIA shopping center, which can be reached in a couple of minutes.
Since the hostel is on the main road during the day from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm it is a bit noisy due to passing trucks and buses.
This hostel used to be a nice place for surfers and backpackers but after the pandemic things have changed a bit. The hostel is currently undergoing some minor improvements, renovations, and upgrades since August this year. The information about services and comfort will gradually change for the better.
Also, the hostel is part of a small personal challenge project about managing and renting hostels in Ecuador for one Russian traveler who is administrating that hostel now.
The current administrator has over 10 years of experience traveling around the world, the last 4 years of which have been working on the coast of Latin America - Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, - and can give a lot of useful tips on how to plan your trip to Latin America, and how to travel around Latin America safely.

Cancellation Policy: 2 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
