North Fei Hostel (Branch of Afei Hostel)

This is a great spot! You won't find many places with such wild, idiosyncratic, genuine style like this - in Kenting or anywhere in Taiwan - especially for the price. It's a huge room, two balconies, great view, nice firm double bed, extra blankets, TV (didn't use), fast wifi, bathtub, hot shower, and all the other necessities. The stairs to go up are steep and narrow, so be very careful. The room may be hard to cool in the summer months since it's big and open. Very nice staff and owner!

Room was nice, comfy bed, good AC, fridge included, windows only in the bathroom so it got really dark for sleeping, good balcony. The major issue is that the listing shows the main hostel location on the beach as the location for these rooms. It is not. These rooms are located a 15 min walk further inland off the main highway. Which was fine, but we booked for the beach location. Also please get an updated kenting bus schedule, we woke up early for a bus that never came and had to take a taxi.

Our room was not in the main hostel building. At first we were disappointed that our room was a 1km walk to the beach and we were away from all the restaurants, but then we realized we had booked a honeymoon suite style room and we were completely happy relaxing in the room, watching tv in English, and taking a hot bath in the awesome tub! Nice staff, clean place, and relaxed environment. Only trouble we had was getting a ride from the ferry to the hostel-taxis wanted to charge too much.
