I stayed at this hostel 2 years ago and was looking forward to getting there again but, sadly, it has been let down a little in the meantime and now lacks its previously amazing atmosphere and great breakfast, and definitely needs some fixes (showers are in a particularly bad state, the pool not regularly cleaned). Great Value ! Ok the fridge and the hotplate wasn't cleaned everyday and the showers seemed a little bit old but I had a really good stay there. The location is perfect and facilities ok. I met great people, there is space and the pool has been perfect during the hottest days. Hidai the staff member is lovely, helpful and always available. And I loved the city. If I had to go back in Merida I would definitly come here again. And the price can't be beaten !!!

Great location, walkable to most city sights. Room very basic. Bed collapsed in the middle of the night but staff replaced before the next night. Water pressure not good but I did get a hot shower! Pool was being cleaned during our stay so we couldn't use it. Lots of older people staying there. Places to sit and relax outside. Fairly good kitchen.
