Stayed in both private room and dorm. The private was nice but had too many insects in the room. The food is good but overpriced and a limited menu, a beer costs over double vs a local restaurant. They ran out of hummus 3 of the days I was here and when I asked to replace the hummus with tofu in one of the dishes I was told it will cost extra despite there being no hummus. Overall it’s a relaxing place but facilities are limited and the focus seems to be on the restaurant. Dined elsewhere mostly

Lovely cafe - get the chocolate brownie! The staff are lovely and very welcoming in the cafe. Don’t recommend staying in the “magic bus” it’s incredibly hot with only a tiny fan and the room is small and insects do get inside. The showers could do with a clean more often and the toilet bins were overflowing all day. Overall a good place to stay with nice views and is nearby fun activities , so it’s worth making the effort to stay here even though it’s far from the ferry port

wanted to love this hostel but it's just so overpriced for what it is. It's amazing staying in the jungle but being charged so much for food and drink takes away from it. Feels like it's trying to be a resort without offering the amenities so ends up a rustic experience with high prices. The lake is stunning and staff are helpful so if you have a higher budget might not be an issue for you. be prepared for alot of creepy crawlies and bunk beds with no nets or bars on either side.
