Hostel AVA ligger i hjertet av Ljubljana i en vakker historisk bygning, som først og fremst rommer Academy of Visual Arts.
Alle lokaler som er tilgjengelige for våre gjester syder av kreativ energi. Alle rommene er plassert i studentenes atelierer og salonger, noe som gir vandrerhjemmet en unik karakter.

Hostel AVA er åpent i perioden fra 1. juli til 30. september når Kunstakademiet er stengt for sommerferien. Vi har plass til 48 gjester. Til rimelige priser tilbyr vi private tomannsrom og - 2x 3 soverom, 2x4 soverom, 4x 5 soverom, 1x 6 soverom.

Det er en ekstra turistskatt for personer under 30 år er 2,07, over 30 år er 3,13 euro per person per natt (Auto-translated from original language)

It's cheap accomodation in the center of Ljubljana. If you are like me, only need a bed to sleep on during nigth (early morning 😅) and a place to take a shower, it's fine. There are a kitchen if you need that to make food, but for me it was just a bed and shower/toilet, and I spent most time exploring and enjoying the city. I wouldn't come here as a couple, unless this is something you are really used to (cheap simple backpacking).

Do not stay here. My opinion is based on room on top floor. 1. Terrible “beds”, i.e. old , thin spring mattress with springs hurting your back. Dirty floors, ants all over the sink. It rained in from roof window, we got another room thx to vacancy. 2. The hostel’s top floors are a possible death trap in case of fire. No emergency exit, no exit signs that glow in dark, no fire extinguisher on 3rd floor. Superb location and the host was very nice!

The location was absolutely great! Couldn’t have asked for a better location to stay at in Ljubljana than this. The rooms were spacious, with very little interior, bud had a fan, table, chairs, a lamp and beds. The beds were not good, the mattresses were very thin, so we decided to move the mattresses to the floor as the wooden beams from the bed frame would hurt when lying on them. It was ok then Overall the toilets and showers were clean. The kitchen had ants on the kitchen table.
