Really nice hostel great staff. It's right in the historical center and quite easy to go to other sites in curitiba. It's modern with a comfy bed and decent bathrooms. our only issue was with small bugs in certain food cupboards meaning we had to bin some of our food we'd only bought the previous day.

I arrived Matilda at 6am (after a night bus from Floripa). I buzzed their gate, waiting in the dark empty streets with all my bags and keen to get to safety. However, the ‘24/7’ reception refused to open the gate until 7am. I explained I had a reservation and asked if I could at least sit in their courtyard until sunrise.
