Hostel Mallika

This was my second stay at this hostel, the first being around 2018, and it's just as excellent. The facilities are fantastic - the rooms have powerful hairdryers, soaps, toothpastes; showers have shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body moisturiser. A free face towel is provided every day, free toast is provided. Dorms are quiet, with beds providing good privacy. For negatives - The matress is a bit thin, and the ladies 4th floor loo bidet didn't function. Everything else was beyond expectations.

Had a lovely stay! I arrived a little early for check in but the lovely woman at the front desk still let me in. It’s a super easy walk to the Peace Memorial Park and the museum, and the bus to the central station also stops nearby. The coffee supplied in the kitchen is great too :)

Place is in a great location to the peace museum and public transport. There’s not really any “house rules” such as quiet times so can be a lack of disrespect from other guests in the early morning and late at night; was woken up multiple times by loud conversations and hairdryers. Also a really bad drain smell coming from the showers which is connected to the kitchen area so not pleasant when eating. Hostel felt clean but it could do with a revamp as it just seems super old.
