Tree House Hostel, Da Lat, Vietnam

Simon, Hannah and the rest of the staff were all so friendly. The family dinners were delicious and a great way to meet others staying at the hostel. And who wouldn’t want to stay in a tree house?!

The scooter tour makes this hostel- it’s so much fun and a great way to meet people! Pleasantly surprised to be put in a private room having booked an 8 bed dorm. Great to have free tea. However I saw mice a couple of times and the downstairs toilets were a bit grim. Overall I’d definitely recommend the hostel.

Really nice room and comfortable beds. Small chill area is good for meeting people. Staff are friendly. My only issues are that of the 4 items on their menu they only had 1 available for the 3 nights we were there (they were also out of coffee) and that the toilet was smelly. Would definitely recommend the hostel.

What an amazingly friendly and cosy hostel! So easy to make good friends and DJ is full of great recommendations for things to do around the city. From the cute note left on our beds on arrival to the fun Korean bbq night (do it- it’s worth every penny!) this hostel has it all!

Cute pod type beds with lots of room. The bathrooms and kitchen were always clean and well equipped. Top location too. Not much of an atmosphere though if you’re travelling solo you probably wouldn’t meet anyone here.

We are sorry for the late reply. Thank you for your review and comment! We hope you had a great stay with us. And yes, there are many family guests as well in Osaka Hana Hostel, so you might feel a bit uncomfortable not to communicate with others. You can come to the living room which some guests take rest. Or our staff can have conversation with you:) We hope we can see you again!

This hostel has everything you’d need in a hostel. The staff are friendly and the bar is cute but it’s pretty big so not very easy to meet people. Good location close to the train station and a 15 minute walk from Gion.

Love all the chill out areas but felt very uncomfortable that people staying outside the hostel would sneak in at night and sleep on sofas and sometimes spare beds in dorms. The kitchens and bathroom were always dirty despite not that many people staying at the hostel. The staff were super friendly though!

One of the nicest hostels in Queenstown right in the centre. The view from the kitchen is amazing, but it’s also tiny so tough when more than 2 people want to cook at once. Great bathrooms.

The food here is by far the best value for money of all the hostels. The vegan curry is delicious! The staff are friendly like all Fijians. The beds are comfy and I appreciated the 16 bed dorm being made up of all single beds rather than bunks! Showers were cold.

Really nice view from the rooftop terrace and a nice, clean hostel. Weird atmosphere as it was dead on the Saturday night we stayed but music was blaring until 1am on the Sunday night. This would be fine if you choose any dorm but the 4 bed which is right next to the terrace so I couldn’t sleep. The breakfast situation is ridiculous. You literally need to queue as breakfast opens if you want any food at all.

Gorgeous location. Great if you want to party all day which I didn’t. I still managed to enjoy myself though! Easy to meet people and the owner was really kind. It seems like a lot of the people staying are staff who are loud, drunk and very exclusive which is a bit intimidating. Having said that all the working staff I spoke to were really nice.

The reception staff were amazing! They made an effort to learn our names and went out of their way to help us in every way. They also knew the town inside out and gave great suggestions. Loved the layout of the 6 bed dorm and the rooms were super clean. The bar was far from the dorms so can party or have a good nights sleep.

Cute chill out area and cheap bar. Friendly mix of people so we really enjoyed it. A bit of a funky smell in the dorm but it didn’t bother us. The only problem was that the a/c wasn’t working for our second night and there was no effort made to fix it by staff, they just said we’ll have to wait until the next day so we were all boiling at night! Apart from that the staff were really friendly and helpful.
