Agavero Hostel, Cancun, Mexico

Great place to stay, nice friendly atmosphere with space to relax when you're over the Cancun sunshine and helpful staff. Would stay again. Only complaint is that people talking downstairs echoes straight into the bedroom so can make for a noisy sleep... didn't sleep the best there but overall was satisfied with my stay.

This hostel was very quiet comapred to many others nearby so it lacked the atmosphere however this would be nice if you wanted some quiet time. The staff were not keen to greet or chat to us and made it a little uncomfortable around breakfast time as we weren{t sure whether they were giving us more food or not as they didnt communicate it. Nice clean place though with a lovely little pool and books to read. Would stay again but admittedly did choose to stay down the road on our next night.

Overall a good stay here and great value for money. The building is old as expected in this area but everything works fine, hot water, good security and great views. The staff are very friendly and welcomed us to join in watching the football in their bar. Kitchen is good to use but they werent offering breakfast at this time probably as so quiet. Easy walk to old town, bus station and food places nearby. Nothing flash but happily spent our four nights here.

The stay here was good. The hostel was clean, the staff friendly and good safe location. Only issues we had were not being able to use the kitchen to cook or store food easily and there were ants in our room that got all through my bags. They said they were getting this looked at.

This hostel was adequate for one night's stay but I wouldn't have stayed more nights. They have a good book exchange, very friendly staff and a nice courtyard to socialise in. The kitchen facilities were not very good as we struggled to even make pasta with what they had, and the decor and general look of the place is dated and drab. The stay was ok and I felt safe.

Great stay here. Had a private room and it was always kept nice and warm and clean. The kitchen was great to use and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the wifi never worked and they didnt provide us with the weather forecast in the morning we gad to ask for it which seem like something a hostel for hikers would automatically do. Overall a good stay.

Copinha Hostel, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

This hostel is fine to just use for sleeping and are planning on being out a lot as there is no hostel atmosphere. It is also an old building with not very nice linen or furniture and the room is very crammed with no natural light. However the staff are really friendly and speak English and the location is good. It is also safe with a locked gate that they buzz you in with.
