Your budget might send you here, but I strongly advise you cough up the extra 3 euro per night for a better hostel. Good stuff: 2 minute walk from train and 20 from old town The couple who runs the place is very sweet and helpful (which makes it hard for me to write this) Bad stuff: No control over the AC, usually off during the day Bathrooms are tiny and uncomfortable You must ask for many basic things, like a front door key for late returns A general shoddiness A deathly and silent vibe

What was great: the vibe, the staff, the pool and other joint facilities, the complementary breakfast, and really the staff again - they went out of their way to make my stay awesome, even after I'd already checked out. What was not-so-great: the total price was a bit steep, and adding quite a lot for dinner didn't make much sense in light of the free breakfast. Also my room's lights didn't work. Oh, and a noticeable sign outside wouldn't hurt.

there`s alot of good stuff to be said, but such is the case with most hostels. what bothered me was the strange price flactuations from night to night, and the fact that the computer stations weren`t free to use. as a phoneless traveler, this was a major problem for me. otherwise - great place!

great place! the kitchen and common room were great for meeting people - everyone just started talking with everyone, on through the night. the people of the hostel made my stay in marseille unforgettable.

it felt like home. the living room and the kitchen were warm and inviting - great place to have a dinner hangabout. the only real drawback of the place is its location - not only far from most stuff, but also kinda far from the closest metro. but again - every moment spent indoors was well spent.

Really great place. The only things missing for me were a computer station with internet, and a wider English bookswap case. Other than that - an excellent opportunity to meet cool people and hang out every night.
