Great hostel. Very clean and efficient. Lots of notices if you’re planning on moving to nz / get a job / buy car. Plus has events in every evening.

Clean, friendly, cheap and great location. The kitchen view is also incredible. They have Netflix too. I had a lovely stay here and would recommend it.

But was cold. Bathroom can only be used by one person at a time in the dorm. Loud bar. Storage room only opens at certain times for 5 minutes which is very unhelpful.

This only reason I booked here is because it’s close to the greyhound bus stop and is cheap. For every other reason I would never recommend this hostel. The staff are rude and push to sell their Fraser Island tour. But it is not as good as Drop Bear. I stayed in 2 types of dorm. Do not go to the 16 bed. You don’t have a socket and it’s as if the cleaners forget these rooms and prioritise other smaller dorms. Do not stay here.

This hostel is a complete mess and stinks. Staff don’t help you with your bags. Free breakfast is a pro, but it’s also very messy. I checked out as soon as possible. Would never recommend this hostel.

I didn't actually stay here but I want to give a great rating for the staff members who replied to all of my emails promptly during typhoon Mankhut. We weren't able to cross the water to get to the hostel and so they explained how to get a Hostelworld refund. Great service.

This is very cheap for what it is. Yes you may get mosquito bites but it's a great experience in the dorm where everything is open and you can almost see the sea from your bed. They offer a cheap breakfast (although would highly recommend the French place next door). Beautiful part of Cebu and this place added to the experience.

Right next to the bus station this hostel is great location. The staff are brilliant and you should really try the cheesecake as it's the best cheesecake ever! They really helped us plan our unexpected day in Udon Thani and were so helpful. They will provide fans for the room and there is also a cute little roof terrace.

Lovely staff who remember your name and give you a personal service. Michael has been great, thank you. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. You can book many trips through the hostel. There is a bar and a pool table and it's very close to the nightlife / night markets. Breakfast is also great. Would recommend! Not a place for constant partying though and if you get dropped off at the bus station you will need to use a tuk tuk to get here (cheap).

Lovely staff. They are all very friendly and if they don't speak English please be patient and they will find a staff member who does. Breakfast is good. The tours booked from the hostel are expensive. We hired a van for a day between 8 of us and was much cheaper. It's super close to the amazing LP market and local attractions.

Great hostel and great location. I stayed in cannon fort hostel but preferred it here as it's more of a hostel and less of a hotel. You also don't have to walk up a hill to get to it. The 28 bed dorm is not as big as you think. Air conditioning is amazing (except when downstairs in the restaurant area, but they have fans). Great breakfast and free towels. They even let us to our room early. Couldn't fault it. I don't understand some of the previous reviews.

The best hostel I've stayed in in Vietnam. Friendly staff, free breakfast and towels, what more do you want. They will book anything for you and the family meal is always amazing. It's just round the corner from the clubs and bars but somehow you don't hear it. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Hi Kate, We wish that you can stay longer too! That was a significant time with you with all the activities here: Playing a game, dining with all people, partying at the club and enjoying tours. At most, we really hope that you enjoy the Haivan Easy-rider trip. Again, we just wanna say thank you for being with us! Miss you! Regards, Freedom Team

Maybe it was not peak time but this hostel was extremely quiet and then hostel staff don't speak much English so I found it hard to speak to people. But the place is very clean and nice! Just a bit hot. They can also book you on trips and book taxis which is helpful. Easy pitstop but probably better when busy!

Great place!! I asked for a twin room but these do not exist. We were put in a room near the toilets and it was too loud. So they moved us to the most amazing room!!! They have mosquito nets over the bed which was so helpful. The food is tasty and cheap and there is a good social vibe, whatever your age! It is also very pretty and is central so that you can walk to the main strip easy. The female receptionist is wonderful and the old cleaner is the nicest Vietnamese guy you will meet!!

Hostel is actually as clean as the photos. Not sure where the first picture is taken but the reception area is much nicer and bigger than that! Great breakfast, staff, hot water and air conditioning. Felt like it was more of a hotel it was that clean. Not really for backpackers as I didn't see many people socialising. But amazing for everyone else. Would recommend!

They did a free cooking class and you got the free food at the end which was super tasty! There is no bar and it closes early at night. However, so so clean. If you get a private room, the bed and desk only just fit in so it is not ideal. The shared bathrooms are one per floor with one toilet and shower inside. Quite hard when there's a dorm and private room to every shared bathroom.

I'm rating this high only so the lady gets her bonus and I feel bad for her, even though she wasn't so kind. But really this hostel is dirty. They kicked me out of the room early and then told me they were doing me a favour by letting me stay later in the common area for my flight (a standard thing that all hostels allow)! She favours boys over girls and will give them free food. I was kicked out of common area at 10pm as it's the lady's bed. Wifi doesn't reach to bedrooms. Weird place!

Very hot hostel. The travel desk will try to sell you very expensive excursions and trips to other cities saying they are good deals. He also scared us about the trains showing us horrific photos (which aren't true) so we would spend more on a taxi. However, if you get a taxi, ask for Sanjay as he is the best one! He will take you anywhere and is so friendly. They have 2 cute pugs but allow them to poo on the tiled floor so watch your step!

Do not stay in this hostel. - No free breakfast! - Angry staff! - Unorganised. They didn't have beds ready for us at 10pm even though we had told them when we would arrived. - Half way through our stay they removed our bedding! We were provided with sheets to put on the bed ourselves at 11pm after complaining twice. - Other guests in our room had to set up their own bed at 2am, including the mattress! - No pillows. - NO SECURITY. Tramps from the street can just walk in. - No lockers.
