Great little hostel right by the beach in La Punta. Good little kitchen and nice common area to hang out. Rooms are decent and fans in the private room work well at night, just too hot to hang out during the day. Nice touches with the hammocks and hippy style decor. Cute cats and a dog roam around the property. Overall, a decent hostel & probably the best option in La Punta.

Lovely chilled hostel which is a short walk to Carrizalillo beach. Comfortable bed, pool & AC was a real bonus. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

Great location, good vibe & things to do. Breakfast OK - fruit & toast & tortillas. Would be better with something more substantial like eggs. Noisy on the first floor as next to the terrace. Wifi pretty crap in the rooms.

Lovely, quiet and peaceful little spot on the lake just a short walk from Guatapé town. Room comfortable, although shower could have been hotter. Huge & delicious breakfast. Plenty of nice little spots to chill - we enjoyed the hammocks upstairs. Nice break away from the hustle & bustle of the city.

Absolutely loved this place. The views are incredible. Nice hot showers with magical views over the countryside. Delicious food shared with other travellers added to the easygoing social vibe of the place. Lovely outdoor fires at night. Comfortable room. Loved the yoga, waterfall hike, coffee plantation tour, and relaxing in the hammocks. One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in - highly recommend!

El Zoo Hostel And Pool, Palomino, Colombia

Nice chill hostel close to the centre of Palomino, 10 min walk to the beach & 5 min walk to the street with all the bars & restaurants. Nice pool but on the small side and could have done with more loungers around it. Loved the volleyball net & good kitchen. Good place to chill out or have a bit of a party if you fancy too. Lovely staff who facilitate a social atmosphere where it’s really easy to meet others.

The Dreamer Hostel, Santa Marta, Colombia

Wonderful hostel with great layout & friendly, helpful staff. Easy to get to major attractions around Santa Marta. Loved our comfortable & spacious double room that was cleaned every day - only improvement would have been having A/C & less intense party music during the day but overall it was fantastic.

Pros: beautiful hostel in a perfect location. Nice spacious double room with A/C, mini fridge & cool layout with pool, bar & rooftop. Easy to meet other travelers. Free breakfast also great! Cons: Wifi was terrible!! Random “friends” came in & out of the hostel - could have been tighter on security. Pretty noisy - could hear people late at night and early in the morning even with earplugs. Overall, a fun place to stay for a few nights. Great atmosphere & nice room made up for downsides.

Wow! This place is just as (if not more) beautiful than it looks in the photos. The atmosphere is amazing being on the water in a gorgeous rainforest - it feels more like a resort than a hostel, but with all the benefits of a hostel in that it fosters a really social atmosphere where it’s really easy to meet people, also helped by the communal dinner meal which we all sat down to eat together. Not a budget option but worth it for the unforgettable experience.

Excellent communication from the friendly staff who went above and beyond with organising all our transfers which made everything so easy and painless. We were just there for the night and didn’t use the kitchen but the facilities looked good and the common area had a lovely view over the hills. Great central location. Basic rooms but overall good value for money & a good stop for one night.

Lovely, clean and safe. Unfortunately no night life in the area and not much to see in general so I was quite disappointed with the location. If it weren't for the dud location it would be spot in.

Brilliant hostel. 24 yr old female travelling on my own, everyone was so friendly and sociable, perfect for solo travellers. Just 2 streets back from khao san so it's the perfect location. Couldn't recommend more highly!
