Property Description

In Trapani, the Western point of Sicily, lies an oasis of sustainable tourism. We like animals, bicycles, nature, traditions and culture. We believe that its impossible to live without looking for peace, loving the environment, respecting diversity.

What does sustainable accommodation mean?
It means respecting the principles of sustainable tourism and, in general, of sustainable development. It means to acknowledge that tourism is ambivalent, since it can contribute positively to socio-economic and cultural achievement, while at the same time it can contribute to the degradation of the environment and the loss of local identity. It means awareness of the worth of our natural and cultural heritage and, in consequence, acting for its conservation, protection and appreciation.

Here at Novecento we pride ourselves on maintaining a healthy respect for our environment. We have bicycles on hand for you to explore, to really know the place you are in, obviously free of charge. We make our best to minimize our impact on the environment, avoiding waste of water and electricity. We decided not to have air conditioning in our rooms, because we think that ceiling mounted fans, shadow and sea breeze, always present in the city, are enough. We acknowledge the importance of local economy, culture and traditions.

Location is not perfect (quite far from city center and not many places to spend evenings) but place itself is very nice, clean & well equipped. And the best of all is Ignazio :)

Hi! We really enjoyed our stay @Novecento B&B! The room and bathroom were vere clean and certainly spacious enough, the breakfast was delightful and the host was very friendly and helpful. We used the bikes to visit the famous salt pans between Trapani and Marsala, really worth a visit! Kinds, Stephanie and Michaël
