Unfortunately a really bad experience at casa atenas... and I cannot stress enough; DO NOT BOOOK HERE AT ALL!
Traveller warning: do not go through the stress of booking here and just stay somewhere else.
Our experience was; we booked two days before with HW, got our confirmation email and paid the deposit. Once we arrived they said they were full, there was nothing they could do and left us stranded there with no where to stay. I reached out to HW & have not got an answer as to why this happen

There are definitely some good things - it's in a great location, it's got a cool aesthetic, the rooms are big. But I felt like I was begrudgingly being let to stay in someone else's spare room, eg large dogs seemed to have the run of the place, the kitchen sink was always full of dirty dishes in the morning, the reception is mostly a WhatsApp number, there was no toilet paper for 3 days. I think Atenas used to be a great little hostel but it needs to think more about it's guests
