Simplicity comes with a tranquil, tropical garden! At Kipepeo Backpackers accommodation is offered in comfortable, palm frond bandas (huts), all with mosquito nets and fans, surrounded by green nature. We have huts with double bed and huts with Twin beds available.

Prizing ourselves on friendly service, you will soon feel right at home in this family run hostel. Enjoy local cuisine and specialties served in our Café Kipepeo. All your activity and excursion needs can be looked after at our in-house tour and safaris office, run by Shadrack, the hostel owner.

We are located just a few minutes from stunning Indian Ocean beaches and a short walk from the local village, you can enjoy the best of both worlds, returning to peace and quiet away from the main tourist strip at the end of a busy day. Fall asleep to the sounds of cicadas (crickets) and wake up to the joyous morning chorus of birdsong.

I can highly recommend you to stay in this peaceful place. The owner is super nice and was very helpful. Itâ€™s also fairly close to the Mainroad (ca 10 mins walk)

We really enjoyed our stay at Kipepeo. The room was big and clean, and the showers and toilets were clean as well. The place was close to the beach, and was very sharming. The host was also so nice, and he really made us feel like home. He made delicious food, gave information about Nungwi and fixed taxi. He was available the whole stay, and was so sweet. Thank you so much for an impeccable stay! We would definitely recommend to stay at Kipepeo.

I really enjoyed my stay at Kipepeo- itâ€™s situated in a lovely quiet corner of Nungwi but walking distance to anywhere you need to go. The beach is less than 5 mins away by foot. Shadrack, the owner and is family are super friendly & will help you with anything you need- communication was super easy! If youâ€™re looking for something affordable and comfortable without the unnecessary luxuries, this place is perfect! Ideal for backpackers. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable! Thank you!
