One of the better hostels in Balgue, but not the best. The driveway is a nightmare to get up and down. The restaurant is fantastic but overpriced and with limited options, seemed like they only had half the menu available. Not a social hostel and weird hippie vibes. Not a bad place to be for a few nights, but not my favourite hostel on Ometepe.

its cash only which is advertised well however staff would be annoyed if we didn’t have the right change to buy the food which was really annoying considering i cannot control what notes i receive from an ATM. We even got told we couldn’t order a dessert because we didn’t have the correct change. The food although all vegan was really delicious. Chocolate tour was really good and worth the money, the host was really knowledgeable. There was a lot of flys in the dorm - like a lot, not the hostels fault of co
