You come to a hostel to have fun, unfortunately the owner (I think) think she rules the world and can boss everybody including staff and guests around. Unfriendly welcome, lights are off at 8pm and no fun activities to do. It’s very small. The bed was uncomfortable and the shower had a lot of hairs in it.

I usually don't leave reviews but this hostel deserves it. 10/10, beautiful place, amazing staff and great atmosphere. A somewhat sketchy area surrounding the hostel but that's to be expected in a big city like that. Have been there twice and would go a third time if I have the chance!

Habari offered such a great atmosphere as there was a kitchen/central lounge area to hangout. I met some amazing people during my stay here and it felt very comfortable and safe. The facilities are safe and clean! I would stay here again!
Cons:
- air conditioning is only on at night and sometimes off completely as the host controls it remotely - that was my biggest issue.
- you need your phone to enter the building and hostel - link didn't always work and worrisome if your phone dies.
