Casa Del Sonder

Every stranger has a story. Not only is this our company slogan, but it's also a profound truth. We chose the word Sonder as the inspiration behind both our cafe and now, our beautiful guesthouse, because of how perfectly it captures a sensation that so many of us have felt before.

Casa Del Sonder is located in the trendy De Waterkant, just a 10-minute walk from the city centre.

It has a rooftop terrace with a plunge pool and a 360 degree view of the city and Table Mountain. Decorated in rich and warm colours, the air-conditioned rooms feature a seating area, flat-screen TV and safe. They include tea-and-coffee-making facilities and a smart TV with Netflix. Some rooms offer a view of Table Mountain.

Perhaps when staring down at a foreign city from an airplane window or at fellow strangers in a coffee shop, or at all of the illuminated lights of an apartment building. The realization that the strangers all around us, those we do not know and may never see again, are living lives as deeply elaborate and complex as our own.

Cancellation policy: The guest can cancel free of charge until 14 days before arrival. The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel in the 14 days before arrival.In case of a late cancellation or No Show, guest will be charged the full price of their stay

Check out from 00:00 to 11:00 .
Late check in can be organised - guests just need to inform us.

Payment is taken prior to arrival. Either full payment or a 50% deposit in order to secure the booking.
Taxes included.
Breakfast not included - 150 ZAR per person per day.

Daily reception: from 08:00 to 17:00.
No curfew. Guests have their own keys.
