Makers Guesthouse

Functional, affordable, and geeky guesthouse in Siem Reap. The first maker-space in the town for digital nomads, geeks, and developers.

The property is a mix of a makerspace and a guesthouse, where I teach programming, networking, and electronics. As a digital nomad myself, it is designed for geeks, IT people, and remote workers; affordable prices for long stay, quiet environment, rooms with hot shower and AC, and fast and reliable fiber Internet access. Our rooms are not gorgeous, but have everything you need for a comfortable stay. A shared kitchen and cookware are available for guests. Kids are welcome to our garden, which has swings and playground equipment. Guests are welcome to use a swimming pool at Babel Guesthouse (minimum order, USD 5), our neighbor just next door. All rooms have a private bathroom with hot shower.

We have workshops for guests: basic electronics for kids, candle making for family, and serious projects for hackers.

All rooms and common spaces are well covered by multiple WiFi access points. The internet access line is fibre. You will not be disappointed.

A shared kitchen with kitchenware and essentials is available at the back garden, and a fridge is available in a room at the ground floor. Each floor has a shared terrace.

Cancellation policy: 3 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Smoking areas: Smoking is prohibited in rooms. Please use public spaces with an ashtray. I would like to ask smokers to be a good citizen. It's okay to smoke when no one is around you in a public space, but please ask people around you if it's okay. Keep enough distance to non-smokers even if they say 'yes'. Non-smokers always have a right to say 'no'.
