Property Description

Aite Cruinnichidh is a warm, comfortable, friendly country hostel in converted barn, set in stunning mountainous surroundings 15 miles north east of Fort William and 2 miles from Roy Bridge. As we live on site, this is also a very safe hostel to stay at.

It is an ideal location for walking, climbing, canoeing and mountain biking. There are 7 rivers for paddling within 20 miles of Aite Cruinnichidh. Extensive cycle routes are also nearby. We can advise you on walking and cycle routes with maps available.
We are operating with a minimum two night stay at present, apart from those walking the East Highland Way and touring cyclists. You will have to contact the hostel directly to book a one night stay. Whilst Covid measures have been relaxed we continue to run the hostel with reduced numbers of guests (May 22)
All bedding is included. Please do not bring sleeping bags. There will be a £20 charge for any sleeping bags used to cover additional washing. We also have an excellent self catering kitchen and drying room for all your wet clothes, tents etc.
We have a large garden for outdoor games or just to relax in.

If travelling from Glasgow it is possible to get off at Roy Bridge, before Fort William.
We can lock up your gear if required. Outdoor activities such as Quad biking, canoeing, rafting, paint ball etc can be organised locally.
Unfortunately we cannot organise the weather!

Please remember to bring food with you as the nearest shop is five miles away. We do not have a shop at the hostel.

Superb

Lovely, cosy hostel in a peaceful area. Fresh green garden area. Well-equipped kitchen and nice hot showers. Beautiful chapel/cemetery a short walk away. We used it as a spot to walk the Ben Nevis - about 25 min drive away which worked out well, was nice to be away from the busy Fort William.

Peaceful spot near waterfall and an atmospheric cemetery, lovely vista out front. Feels like you’re on a farm. Ideal for couples. Kind staff, excellent kitchen. A place to chill and read or walk around the green, you might meet people you might not. common room a bit too small, some of the bathrooms had a musty smell. Not so accessible without a car but I met people there without one, I think a train is nearby.
