I wish that I enjoyed my stay because the family who runs this place is so nice and helpful, but unfortunately the hostel really needs an upgrade... Everything seemed kind of old and dirty. I had a private room with no bathroom and could use two different ones in the hallway. In one of them the shower was broken and in the other one the toilet would not flush. There were also cockroaches. Otherwise the staff is very nice and the bed was comfortable. Easy to get food because of their restaurant

A nice hostel with friendly staff and a great restaurant and roof terrace. Beds were comfy with fly nets and also no bunks which is nice! Close to the lakeside too. The price is a little high for the dorm rooms I think as they are very basic and tired. I reckon the individual rooms would be really nice though.

Great overall - 10 min walk from central kandy next to the beautiful lake. Very clean. Super friendly host - for up at 4:30am and organised train tickets for me. Could do better with the showers. Would recommend !
