We are the only Music Hostel in Santa Teresa, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. If you love music and want to connect with other musicians from around the world or if you just chill and listen to some live music; this is your spot. We have a variety of instruments in our collection and people can come and jam, share music, and meet cool friends. We create a unique, relaxing and comfortable place to stay with everything you need to be creative. Private Rooms, Dorms, 100mb fiber optic internet, kitchen, BBQ, pool table, swimming pool, A/C available, lockers, CCTV security system, community chilling areas and TV. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach and surf spots.
Our stuff can help you with all the information you need or can tell you all activities to do around, such as: (snorkeling tours, scuba diving, canopy tours, fishing, horseback riding, shuttle services to everywhere in the country). We also offer outdoor terrace, swimming pool and bar.
Slow Monkey Hostel is in Santa Teresa town, from the cross road of Santa Teresa/Malpais 1km north, and its on the second floor of supermarket Muralla (chinese market). The property is located 100 meters to the beach, beautiful nature, animals, surfing spots and islands to visit. It is in a central location. Near to bank, stores, surf shops, etc

Shared Dorms: of 4 or 5 beds or a female dorm of 6 beds, fans, bathrooms ans showers, lockers

great place :) I came for a couple nights and ended up staying longer because it was so awesome. the weekend had many activities around town to stay busy- the hostel was full of really nice people and we all hung out and went out. The other days I stayed I got to enjoy relaxing at the hostel- super chill vibe , i drank by the pool , slept in the hammock listening to monkeys and played pool with the owner and friends- really nice staff with cool travel stories. i WILL be coming back , seeya later Danny!

I will be coming back here, I came with my girlfriend and we did surf lessons, horseback riding, quad rentals and the tortuga island tour all from the same hostel - great service. pura vida vibes, music, jam nights and a bbq night .. perfection for us

Staying as a single woman in a quiet period was not ideal. There was no friendly atmosphere or vibes apart from the one volunteer. I had an altercation with the owner over various points which I felt were fair enough, such as the lock on the door not working. He at least gave me time to talk over our points of view the next day and refunded me my next nights stay. Beds comfy but the 6 bed fem dorm was stifling hot with no aircon till 9pm and only a window to the noisy street in the bathroom.
