About Surfers Paradise

I know, with a name like Surfers Paradise, your expectations are higher than usual. This seaside resort located on Australia’s Gold Coast is the perfect escape for a variety of travellers. You might recognize its Instagram famous skyline filled with high-rise buildings framing a stunning stereotypical Aussie beach. Surfers' is also known for its world-class nightclubs and international events.

Hostels in Surfers Paradise really do portray the laid back, ‘no worries’ vibe that the land down under is so well-known for. You’ll find hostels with great pool and entertainment areas to allow you to really soak up the sun with your new hostel mates. Whatever your preferred travel style we’re sure one of our Surfers Paradise hostels will be the perfect fit.

You’ll find Surfers Paradise hostels just minutes’ walk from the famous foreshore, pretty neat right! Choose a hostel close to the city centre to be right in the middle of the action (and allow an easy and short stumble home from a night out) or pick one a little further out if the party scene doesn’t interest you as much.

One of the most popular things to do whilst in town is taking a trip to one of the Gold Coast’s theme parks, from roller coasters to water rides you’ll find a diverse range of rides for all ages (fear levels). Riding a bike, walking and running along the amazing foreshore is a crowd favourite. For the adrenaline junkies out there try indoor skydiving, Dracula’s Haunted House or climb to the tip of the Skypoint, to name a few. Surfers aka a destination where the party never ends… after a day of exploring, take a nap and get ready to hit the town as word on the street is, it’s one of the best nightlife scenes in Australia.

If your hostel is centrally located, you’ll be able to easily explore the town via foot as all of the main attractions are in a very compact area. If you’re looking at taking your adventures a bit further out of town then buses will do the trick, with a dedicated and easy to use service covering the surrounding areas. For more flexibility, hire a car or take Ubers/taxis. Gold Coast Airport is the closest airport, and the 777 bus departs daily taking 45 minutes to reach Surfers Paradise.
