Hostelworld says

Overlooking the Liffey River, Abbey Court is next to O’Connell St and across the river from Temple Bar, meaning you can get to most Dublin sites on foot. Hostelworld guests regularly praise the ‘spotless’ cleanliness of the hostel, as well as the wide range of facilities on offer, from the cinema room and hammock room to the jobs board, large kitchen and games room with pool tables and a Wii. Our users also rate this hostel as ‘great value for money’, with a combination of low rates, location and amenities.

Property Description

The Abbey Court, part of 'Dublin's Best Hostels', is famous for its excellent location, brilliant facilities, warm atmosphere, friendly staff and competitive prices. The hostel has been operating successfully since its establishment in 1999, and continues to see thousands of satisfied guests coming and going year after year.

With en-suite dormitories ranging from four to twenty-four beds, the Abbey Court is known for its excellent group catering facilities. Rates include bed linen, as well as free towels for guests staying in single, double and twin rooms. Despite our central location, guests are still assured of a comfortable and peaceful night's sleep, allowing for a full and busy day ahead.

We've got hot water, power showers and extra showers and toilets on each floor, plus laundry facilities and a smoking area. We have 24 hour reception so there's no lockout or curfew. There's also 24 hour snacks and drinks and our dining, games room and TV area are open all the time.

Located just off Dublin's famous O'Connell Bridge, we are the most centrally located hostel in the city. Temple Bar, Ireland's famous cultural corner and nightlife spot is a two-minute walk away and can be seen from the front windows. We're just minutes from all the major places of interest and shopping areas including Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral, Trinity College, the Guinness Storehouse, Grafton Street and Stephens Green. Also within walking distance are the tram stop, the DART station and many bus routes that will take you to more scenic areas outside of Dublin including Howth, Dun Laoghaire, Bray and Dalkey, plus the main sporting and concert arenas.

Our fun and friendly staff are on hand 24 hours to give advice and recommendations on the best restaurants, pubs, shopping areas and tourist attractions, and also to point you in the right direction of all the hidden gems you wouldn't discover otherwise.

We at the Abbey Court are 100% committed to ensuring your stay is as comfortable and fun as possible, and will do everything we can to make this happen. Stay with us and let us help you enjoy everything this colourful and vibrant city has to offer.

Only spent 2 nights at abby court but it was really clean and friendly. The pub crawl was amazing. They also organize tours of the city. There’s lockers under each bed (bring your own lock) as well as €3 bag check at the front. My only complaint is our room smelt like feet, but I think that’s mainly the people that were there.

Location! Location! Location! This hostel was great but the showers are terrible. They are either ice cold or burning hot. There is no in-between. Other then that, the 24 hour reception and bag hold were nice to have. It’s in the temple bar area so it is easy to get around. There is a great pub next door with good food!

Abbey Court was my first hostel I stayed at solo backpacking. When I arrived, the staff were so lovely and helpful. I was told the hostel was like a maze - which it is (there were rooms I didn’t find until my last day). I stayed in a 10 bed female dorm. The rooms were clean, good storage space under the beds (fit my 70L and 15L backpacks). The bathrooms were okay. I found that the toilets were often unavailable - there were 2 female toilets on my floor and another couple on other floors but they were often
