Pipe House Playa Grande is a Unique Eco-Friendly Hostel by the beach. In the common areas, the ranch has a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, dinner tables, chilling areas,balance board, slack line and other fun activities. Bathrooms are divided into men and women, equipped with hot water, shower gel, toilet paper, hand soap and hand towels.
Breakfast is inlcuded!
Pipe House Playa is located strategically only 30m away from the beach, where you can listen to the breaking waves while you chill in the ranch. Playa grande offers world class surf, turtle nesting, estuary tours and many other activities. Near The Pipe House, you can find a well stocked mini market and several restaurants. A short walk and a 2$ ferry boat will take you to Tamarindo, the main town around. Experience nature like never before.
Pipe House Playa Grande has nine private bedrooms built within recycled concrete pipes. Each room fits two and is fully equipped with towels, linens and full A/C. Each room`s Mandala has a predominant color and that is the code to name the rooms.. Hot water showers.

We had a fantastic stay at the Pipe House! Right by the beach, comfy cabins for sleeping, great atmosphere and made lots of friends! Felipe helped us whenever we needed something. Thanks for a great stay and we hope to be back soon!!

Pipe House is a unique and beautiful property just steps from a gorgeous beach. Surf lessons with Felipe, working out in the well-equipped gym, sleeping in the cozy and very comfortable pipe room, and free delicious breakfast were all highlights! It’s an easy walk and 2min boat ride across the estuary to Tamarindo if you want supplies or a lively atmosphere, but you’ll likely just want to hang out at the Pipe House/Playa Grande :) thank you to Felipe and team for making me feel right at home!

Absolutely LOVED pipe house! So much that we extended our stay. The set up is awesome, kitchen facilities have everything you need. We brought groceries across from Tamarindo. Plus their free cooked breakfast every morning is fab, and the staff are super lovely. Only thing would be some variation in the brekkie would be nice, possibly a sweet / muesli option? The free coffee and fruit is so good tho. The host / owner is extremely accommodating 10/10! So close to the beach too - would recommend!!
