Washroom was clogged and not so clean.

We are two young women that stayed in a mixed dorm. It wasn't perfect, but we would stay here again. Positives: - overall quite clean! Neither the beds nor the bathroom were 'gross' or made us worry about touching stuff (there was some calcium build up on the taps in the bathrooms but neither of us cared about that) - every room has it's own bathroom!! (equipped with a toilet, a sink, and a shower) - kitchen present (you have to ask for a key at the reception) - every bed has a small light and two USB outlets (mine didn't work but my friend one's did) - ice cream, vending machines for snacks and a coffee machine in the reception area - there's a public water fountain just outside the hostel - grocery stores are a ~7 minute walk away - public transport stops are close (under 10 minutes of walking depending on where you wanna go) - fast and easy check in/out - it's possible to partially open the windows in the rooms ('kippen') which really helps with the air quality - beds are relatively cheap Negatives: - No lockers in the rooms but you can leave your luggage in the luggage room and special items (laptops, ipads, etc) can be stored in a safe behind the reception. - the 8th floor was very very hot! a lot! warmer than the 7th - elevator only goes up to the 7th floor - the kitchen was very messy on our stay so we didn't cook there after all (but we did use the fridge) - wouldn't recommend it for solo backpackers as there was zero socialising happening in the hostel - quite far from central Berlin We got kinda unlucky cause two of our roommates were insanely loud('violent'?) snorers. Like you could actually hear them through headphones and my friend, who slept above one of them, could feel the entire bed moving. That's obiously not the hostels fault but generally I would highly recommend bringing earplugs or headphones you can sleep in!

We got a private room. 10 min walk to the tram that takes you to the center of Berlin. Breakfast is spectacular. A lot of facilities (laundry, snacks, lounge et However, the walls have a lot of stains and some sheets had stains on them too. No A/C but it's bearable if you're visiting in late summer/early fall.
