Since it was first conquered more than 150 years ago, this symbol of Switzerland has attracted countless mountaineers and inspired admirers to create spectacular souvenir pictures. As this majestic 4000-metre peak has so many beautiful aspects, several cableways and magnificent hiking routes will take you to one of the numerous viewpoints, such as the Gornergrat, the Klein Matterhorn (Glacier Paradise) or the Sunnegga. Skiers and snowboarders will love the slopes, which have guaranteed snow all year round and offer a view of the Matterhorn, as well as the space available for winter sports equipment in our hostel.

The location was great but the lockers needed coins. The staff ran out of coins for us to purchase. Most people left their luggage next to their beds. The hostel desk is closed between 9 and 4 pm so you cannot get coins even if they have them during that time to lock your luggage in the luggage storage. The staff did not put our group together as had previously been confirmed through emails and booking numbers. The staff could not even tell me when the ebus started in the morning.Disappointing.

PROS
-The free breakfast is amazing. Eggs, muesli, yogurt, cheese, meat, bread, fruit, veggies, hummus, cereal, etc etc.
-Location is pretty good. 18 min walk from the train station or a bus can drop you off 5 min away. But bus service ends pretty early like 19:00.
-Clean and safe
-Lots of availability and affordable
-Good wifi
CONS
-No stove for cooking
-Cold and rude staff, more explained below
-No atmosphere or common spaces
