Up a steep hill and the last bus that goes up is at 6pm. There’s a lot of children and families. However the view from the hostel dorms is breathtaking and makes up for all of that.

Free breakfast was the best part by a mile, no complaints whatsoever about that.
Warning:
-according to this hostel… mixed rooms mean mixed mens, the hostel staff advised “all Swiss” hostels are like this, which I doubt very much, so be weary of this when/if booking.
-hostel staff are barely present. Can’t check in till 4pm..!
-dryer doesn’t work.
-kids are also allowed to stay at this hostel, they were and disruptive for the most part.

I had a great time at Grindelwald hostel ! The location was perfect, only a 10 minute if that, walk away from the village. Met some beautiful people there. Stunning views ! Highly recommend
