HI New York City’s modern amenities include two floors of common room space for lounging and socializing, a 36-burner kitchen for guest use, and of course free Wi-Fi. For our guests comfort, we offer beautifully renovated bathrooms and showers with free linens and towels. Each guest room has individual heat/air conditioning controls. We house Manhattan's largest private outdoor patio, available for impromptu soccer games or training and orientations.

Our 24-hour Welcome and Information Desk is always there to help with any questions. In addition, guests can get information on what to visit in the city and how to get there safely and securely.
For guests who want to relax, stay in and enjoy movies in our large in-house theatre. Our free billiards table and great common spaces are great spots to meet fellow hostellers. Guests can check out sanitized pool cues and balls to play. The lounge and game rooms are open 24/7.

Conveniences abound at HI New York City hostel. Travelers love cooking meals in our huge common kitchen. Guests can use private lockers with their own lock. There’s an also on-site coin-operated laundry facility, snacks and drinks available 24/7, and an Internet room with public computers.

Loved my experience in HI hostel New york,next time I travel to new york I will stay there again. I was on my own , staying for 22 days in USA and some of it I was in HI hostel. I am 47 year old women and found it amazing that the age group was so mixed. It had everything you need,easy to get to the city, calmest next to central park for a morning walk and I found the area safe. See you soon I hope HI Hostel!!!

Overall very clean and in a decent location. My only complaint is that the outlet at my bunk didnâ€™t work so it was a pain to charge my phone. Also would have been nice if the bunks had curtains.

I had a great experience here! It's located in a great neighborhood full of restaurants, bars, and grocery stores, just a few short blocks from Central Park west, and walking distance to several subway lines as well. The building is very secure as well. The dorms are pretty standard/nothing special but clean and well maintained. Roomy lockers in the dorm. Fairly comfortable bed and I appreciate that the bed came with two pillows. My only (small) issues are that in the morning it was sometimes hard to get ac
