The hostel does have air conditioning. I would say the hostel is fine for the price you pay. The only thing is that the information about check-in is not updated. On hostelworld it says that the reception is open 8 am - 11 pm but when I arrived they told me I couldn't check in until 1 pm, which was annoying since I was already in the city by 7 am. I wouldn't define it a student hostel as there are people living there long term, which I found a bit weird. Overall I think it's a good option for one or two nights if you're on a tight budget.
