Goodnight Hostel is set in a building which Hostelworld guests say ?feels like a big shared house? and is ?surrounded by restaurants?. Our users praise the ?excellent? staff more than anything else, saying they are ?always willing to help?; one visitor said ?everyone was really nice and very helpful with giving advice on how to get to places, where to go and what to do?. Guests have also highly recommended the free walking tour. We like that this hostel not only makes ?delicious, homemade? pancakes for breakfast but that they?re also served until noon.

Out hostel can't be more central. It is situated in the heart of Lisbon's historical downtown, close to all main attractions.
Decorated with a retro touch, our nice staff will welcome you with a smile and give you a lot of nice tips regarding our city.
Every evening we offer Sangria to our guests, a good way to meet people and to start your evening.

- Salty sailor Dinners - during the high season, we try to cook for you a fresh and complete dinner at a nice price. Guests love it...

Please note that our hostel is set in an 18th-century building of 6 floors and doesn't have any elevator.

Overall, I had a good time. Really enjoyed meeting new people over free sangria, breakfast was a good deal, and I really like the showers. They also made sure people were comfortable with many fans/blankets as needed based on the weather. On the downside, the bag storage did not have a lock and it was pretty easy to get inside the building. Also, the neighbourhood was safe enough except for the men in the streets who kept asking the guys in our group if they wanted to buy [stuff] from them.

The area it's in is definitely a tourist trap as all the nearby restaurants are overpriced and terrible but otherwise this place is pretty good. I like how they separate the section of the hostel for sleeping from the common area to accommodate both late night social activities, and early sleepers. The beds are also well constructed so they don't creak or shift when people toss and turn.

Goodnight Lisbon Hostel says
I love the street where the hostel is at, near all the attractions, and the fact that it's pedestrian - no cars! It makes it very clean and quiet. We hear from the guests a lot that they like it, too.
Generally, our guests are chilled students and people already in the job market; it's what we're best prepared for. But we appreciate variety; we encourage families with children or babies, and 40+, too.
We alternate between wine tasting, meals, and food tasting in the hostel...There's also an organ, guitar, and a beautiful movie room for those who want to relax. It's not a 'crazy' party hostel at all - our fun comes from a healthy atmosphere of interaction, laughter, and excellent conversations that occur naturally because all the details of a good hostel are coming together.
I usually send our guests to the old area of the Alfama neighbourhood. It's got our 'secret' church; it's amazingly beautiful and particular. Travellers are tired of churches sometimes and don't go into all of them, but the one we recommend amazes them.
