HI Calgary City Centre offers 4-6 bed dorm rooms (female, male and mixed) featuring individual lockers, bed lights, as well as private/family rooms without and with en-suites and a new 40” flat-screen TV.
Hostel amenities include:
- Free continental breakfast + 24/7 coffee and tea
- Free computers and wifi
- Fully equipped kitchen with free spices,
- Large TV and recreation room with 55” flat screen TV, comfy lobby to meet and greet, laundry room and quiet reading room.
- We are staffed 24 hours; so come and go as you wish.
Exploring Calgary is easy from our central location: a quick walk takes you to the city centre where you can find dining, shopping, entertainment, transportation, cultural districts for every taste and budget. Other attractions are easy to get to with the help of the nearby CTrain (free transportation within the city centre).
The Calgary Airport Express Bus is two blocks away while the Allied Airport Shuttle Bus stops across the street from the hostel (temporarily closed). The Banff Express Shuttle offer pickup at the hostel for trips to Canmore and Banff. The US embassy is two blocks away.

Okay hostel. The bathrooms are not en en-suite which is a bit annoying and only two shower for the whole floor. It’s also quite noisy you can hear people in other rooms and the corridors. As well as the beds being quite noisy when people move around. The hostel was clean and fairly comfortable overall. Basic free breakfast in the mornings is a plus. The area itself doesn’t feel like safest. I wouldn’t walk around alone.

Great location and only 2 blocks away from the free train and airport shuttle bus. Banff Express Shuttle bus pick up outside of the hostel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room is nice but lack power outlet and no privacy curtain. The bathroom is clean. Kitchen is well equipped with free spices and oil for cooking.
