The Backpackers - St. Pauli is located in the heart of St. Pauli. Almost all sights are within easy reach, most of them even on foot. The Reeperbahn is a 10-minute walk away and the river Elbe is about 15 minutes away. If you walk in the other direction, you can reach the trendy "Sternschanze" district in less than 10 minutes. If you need further advice, our friendly staff will be happy to give you the best insider tips.
The bar on the ground floor invites you to a cosy coffee or a fresh beer. The outdoor area and the communal kitchen offer the possibility to get together with other hostel guests.
Due to the current situation, we had to adjust our opening hours, so please let us know your arrival time. If necessary, we can leave your room card for you.
Attention! Parking spaces in Hamburg are very rare. In our neighbourhood there are only residents' parking spaces. Unfortunately, we cannot offer a parking space and advise you to arrive without a car. (You can also get around Hamburg without a car. HVV, DB rental bikes, e-mopeds and e-scooters or MOIA shared taxis will get you from A to B.

Nice hostel! Comfortable bed, big locker, nice bar staff. Good location. Common areas a bit cramped but it still works! Was always someone around to talk to or go out with. Main complaint was that the shower head has nowhere to put it so you just hold it while you shower - not major but annoying. Would come again!

Lovely spot. A bit distant from the main train station which ended up being a great thing, as it’s tucked in a terrific neighborhood. Decent bar space/reception and kitchen downstairs, but it gets dark and quiet pretty early. Good but not great for meeting fellow travelers. Only qualm are the outlets aren’t near the beds

solid bed, lockers were a bit sketchy some were broken. people never really seemed to be in the kitchen, the bar at reception was always pretty quiet but made friends there pretty easily luckily.
