Welcome to the HighRoad, DC's top-rated hostel-hotel hybrid and your home away from home. We're here to offer safe and comfortable spaces, amazing views, custom build pod-style beds and curated private hotel rooms all within a vintage Victorian Mansion.
The HighRoad is located in the heat of Adams Morgan, a true locals spot. Directly located off 18th Street which is lined with restaurants, specialty cafes, bars, shops, markets and nightlife; everything you need is right at your fingertips and outside out front doors! City bike shares, multiple bus stops, scooters, and more are located right on our street to make getting around the city easy and effortless. Enjoy having the options to be in the heart of it all or taking a short walk to tree-lines streets and historic rowhomes.
Walk into our front door and immediately feel like you are at home; our homey kitchen and common areas will warmly welcome you. Our kitchen is fully equipped for you to make your favorite foods from back home and provide secure storage space for your belongings. Our common areas have ample seating space to be able to hang out with new or old friends, enjoy staff-led events like Happy Hour, and be able to relax! Guests are welcome to use our free computers to book their next trip or catch up on emails. Enjoy our free little library and find yourself reading a good book on our front patio whilst overlooking 18th Street.
We at the Highroad have thought of all the ins and outs to make sure our guests have a smooth and comfortable stay so they can focus on exploring the city and being able to be immersed in all Washington D.C. has to offer. This was such a lovely place to stay! I normally don't leave reviews, but I enjoyed my time here so much, I felt inclined to. I stayed in the hotel portion for 4 days and the room was clean, cute, and very comforting. Adams Morgan is a bit roudy (especially on a Friday and Saturday night) but I found it really fun and energizing to be near. I wish I could of stayed longer and I absolutely will be coming back the next time I come to DC!

Fantastic hostel, a great place to rest after a full day of sightseeing. The local area is full of decent places to eat and drink and grocery shops. The room and ensuite were spotlessly clean. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend as a base to explore Washington.

Probably my favourite hostel I’ve stayed in. Rooms were immaculate with gorgeous en-suite. Huge storage cupboard and nice duvets on the bed. The tea and coffee kitchen was amazing and I felt so at home each morning making a tea. They offer everything and more. Free toiletries, storage cupboards, kitchen space and even Alexa to talk on there 😂 Csnt recommend it enough!
