Hidden on an off-center road of Kampot, a historic building surrounded by a lush garden. Monkey Republic is upgraded from the successful hostel before COVID into a better version of the family-friendly restaurant, craft beer bar, and guesthouse. Our rooms are newly upgraded, offering great value for families, couples, and solo travelers.
Combining passions for food, craft beer, and great music, Monkey Republic offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where people from all walks of life can come together and socialize. We're open every day for coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks.
Arguably, Monkey Republic has the best yoga studio in Kampot, with scheduled classes daily, and all our instructors are certified!
DORMS Monkey Republic has a few dorms on offer, each one equipped with modern air conditioners. The dorm beds each have their own light, power point, and curtain. Under the beds, there are steel lockers large enough to fit an entire backpack. There is a private bathroom for every four beds so there should be no need for lining up in the morning.
PRIVATE ROOMS Monkey Republic has a number of newly renovated private rooms - all with private bathrooms. We have budget rooms with fans, we also have 6 private rooms with air conditioners, and those rooms are equipped with solar hot water system. Ask at the reception.

1. Check-in Time: from 14.00 pm.
2. Check-out Time: until 12:00 pm.
3. Payment: Cash (USD or KHR) only upon arrival.
4. Cancellation Policy: At least 2 days advance notice before the arrival date is required.
5. Reception Hours: from 8 am until 21.30 pm.
6. The bar/restaurant is open at 8 am and closed at 21.30 pm.
7. Monkey Republic doesn't allow more than one person per dorm bed or unregistered visitors.

Just wish it had a nicer common area, and the restaurant to have backpacker-pricepoint-friendly options… other than that, I had a great experience, happened to have awesome roommates and we created the social atmosphere by ourselves :) Staff is also super friendly!

Great to have yoga in the hostel, good food but lack of common space to just hang. Beauuuutiful garden/ restaurant/ craft brewery area. Would stay again

The staff were so so nice, always checking up on customers and seeing how everyone is doing ! The food was incredible, I kept saying i was going to get street food but ended up eating every meal at the hostel lol
Booked bus to Siem Reap through hostel, I also booked a scooter through a hostel aswell :) loved my stay and would definitely recommend !! They also offer yoga classes and different activities/tours
It’s more of a chill hostel like not party party
