At MedioMundo Hostel we’ve taken care of every detail of our brand new hostel to give it a unique style for you to enjoy it as much as you can. The hostel’s main common area has a cozy fireplace, cable TV, netflix and a computer for exclusive use of our guests (for free). We also offer you a great patio where you can have a barbecue, and free Wi-Fi in all the building (rooms included). In the evening, you’ll have rice and pasta available to cook for yourself.
MedioMundo Hostel is located in Parque Rodó neighborhood, which is a University and design area, a few meters away from Rodó Park and only 200 meters away from the beach. A 15 minutes walk will get you to the heart of the city centre.In our lively neighborhood you’ll find the best design shops, markets, handicraft shops, museums, bars and an amazing night live for different tastes.
In MedioMundo Hostel we offer you a great variety of rooms: twin room, double room and shared dorms for four and six people.

Meh. It was quite far away from Montevideo centre (1hr walk) and around the hostel there was very little going on. Staff often weren't at reception and didn't exactly go overboard to help you. Chilled but no real vibe there at all. I've stayed in much better, I've stayed in much worse.

It was my first stay at a hostel and it was everything I needed. Staff was very helpful and considerate of the guests. Place is cozy and clean. Beds are comfortable and the curtains give you a sense of privacy. Location is great, there’s bars, restaurants, and bodegas/corner stores one or two blocks away. Rodo Park (Parque Rodo) is a block away and crossing the park is the beach. You can also take la Rambla pathway along the waterfront.
