Sharky Hostel Oslob which is is conveniently located just beside the New Briefing Center for Whaleshark Watching, a very good location just 1 minute walk away, 50 meters away to the beach and just 10 minutes ride to Tumalog Waterfalls also 15 minute boat ride to Sumilon Island Sandbar. Here you can relax and enjoy and meet new friends. Our hostel is composed of concrete dormitory rooms and Native Bamboo House.
DORMS are all Fully Air-conditioned and PRIVATE NIPA HUT are all Fan only.
We offer our guests to be the first to swim with the Whaleshark, just registered and pay with us upon check in if you would like to join the next morning.

AMAZING! definitely book here, the bed was very comfortable, the vibes are awesome and the staff help you with everything! we were first boat out for whale sharks at 6am when others were still lining up around 9am

If you are thinking of doing the whale shark watching, staying at this hostel would be absolute ideal.
I did all the tours suggested by the hostel (Sumilon island + waterfall) and it was a magical experience. Its more like a transport arrangement than a tour and it lets you do at your own pace. If you do the whale watching via the hostel, they wake you up and be there for you, ensure you get to do it on a first boat. I finished all activities by 2 pm. The price was quite reasonable too.

The hostel is very reasonably priced and the rooms were clean,. I found the staff polite rather than friendly.
There is also a lot that could be improved. Firstly the advertised wifi does not exist, that's a big negative for those who are booking thinking they are going to to use wifi. Secondly there's no hot water and toilets did not always flush. Thirdly its really noisy the owners often yell first thing in the morning with no regard for customers who might be sleeping, there's a resident dog who barks a
