At Flinders Backpackers there are an abundance of facilities for our guests to use. A large common/dining area with a welcoming atmosphere for guests to socialize in & maybe partake in a game of pool or use the PC's available.
A large communal kitchen for guests to pursue their culinary passions or maybe even to cook up a small meal, we got it all. As well as a walk-in refrigerator & dry shelves for guests to store their ingredients.
For guests wanting to have movie nights with friends we have a movie room with comfy bean bags for guests to sit back, relax and enjoy the movie of their choosing.
Each room has individual bedside lights, shelfs & USB power plugs so guests can charge their devices. As well as having lockers available in all the dorm rooms for guests to store their belongings during their stay.
Flinders Reception staff are always available 24/7 to help with any guest questions and to give some recommendations of fun things to do around Melbourne.
Free unlimited Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and the common area.

Great location in the middle of cbd, but really noisy due to the nightlife. People were singing, yelling and shouting outside almost every night. Super friendly staff. A lot of young people, felt like a party place. Clean toilets and tidy rooms. A bit messy in the kitchen because everyone cooks at the same time, but the staff did their best to tidy up all the time.

This is an outstanding hostel. It is in a great location near the train station. The thing that made this hostel special was the staff, who I found to be especially helpful, from check in to check out. Jared, who was at reception part of Sunday afternoon, went above and beyond at making sure that everyone around was having a great time. The hostel is optimal for socializing as it is one of the rare hostels with both a bar and a common area allowing drinks.
