Hostel Kaiken is located in El Chaltén. El Chaltén is a village within Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina's Santa Cruz province. It's a gateway to trails surrounding the peaks of Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy to the northwest. Near Fitz Roy, a path leads to the Laguna de los Tres viewpoint. Just northwest of the village, the shores of Laguna Capri offer mountain views. Shops line San Martín, one of the village's main streets.
Kaiken Hostel is a small family business and has 4 bedrooms (3 rooms with two bunks, ie, quadruple and a triple) with two shared bathrooms, kitchen, living room. Service has Wifi, microwave, hot water, central heating.
In addition, we have private and independent apartments to the hostel for three and four people, including bedding, towels, amenities, utensils, kitchen with oven, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, Italian coffee maker, hair dryer....

Kaiken is such a nice hostel, the staff are so so friendly and helpful and will keep your bags for the day. The kitchen is good and the showers are great. Really good value for El Chaltén and a really nice vibe.

It was a very nice hostel and completely fulfilled its job to sleep and cook there after a full day of hiking. The Wi-Fi was super bad though. So download maps, etc. before or search for a cafe with better Wi-Fi.

Great place - probably the best value hostel you are going to find in el chalten which in summer is a very expensive place. The guy who welcomed me was great and very friendly and showed me all the hikes you could do. You have to pay with cash which is a little bit annoying but it is the norm in El Chalten (you can pay in USD, euros etc). Also it's very close the start of the Laguna Torre hike.
