Hostel Kaiken is located in El Chaltén. El Chaltén is a village within Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina's Santa Cruz province. It's a gateway to trails surrounding the peaks of Cerro Torre and Mount Fitz Roy to the northwest. Near Fitz Roy, a path leads to the Laguna de los Tres viewpoint. Just northwest of the village, the shores of Laguna Capri offer mountain views. Shops line San Martín, one of the village's main streets.
Kaiken Hostel is a small family business and has 4 bedrooms (3 rooms with two bunks, ie, quadruple and a triple) with two shared bathrooms, kitchen, living room. Service has Wifi, microwave, hot water, central heating.
In addition, we have private and independent apartments to the hostel for three and four people, including bedding, towels, amenities, utensils, kitchen with oven, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, Italian coffee maker, hair dryer....

Nice spot, small and cosy. A bit quiet sometimes. Could do a lot with a sofa-hangout spot. (Or upgrading the one that is there in the entrance)

Basic place. Expensive for a hostel but that’s expected. Clean. There was some black mold above the bed I was originally assigned, so I asked to move to another bed and they moved me accordingly. Kitchen facilities can get crowded at times. Right in front of Laguna Torre trailhead.

Crazy price for a hostel but that’s Patagonia it’s crazy prices everywhere. It was ok nothing more to say really
