Pros - accessible to santurce and la placita on foot. AC and wifi worked great. Cons - VERY dirty. The immediate neighborhood made most of us nervous. I heard from a local that the hostel recently changed its name to avoid being associated with violence that had happened there, and based on the behavior of the staff (who openly discussed hiring sketchy people) I very much believe it.

The staff was incredible and so helpful and friendly, the hostel however was not the cleanest, especially the floors in the room. But if you don't mind a bit of dirt and want to meet people this is the place for you.
