Property Description

The Lost and Found Hostel is Panama's only hike in jungle hostel, located in the cloud forests of Chiriquí Province, Panama.

Stunning views of Volcan Baru set the backdrop for this jungle lodge. Located in the Fortuna Nature Reserve, immerse yourself in nature by exploring the miles of trails inside the park or simply lounging in a hammock watching the hummingbirds visit at this majestic property.

We offer a unique and social housing experience, exciting tours, and many activities included in the price of your stay such as hiking and treasure hunts, and waterfall excursions. We have a varied menu for dinners and there is always a vegetarian option. You can also enjoy games in the jungle bar. The bar is located away from the sleeping areas, so whether you are looking for a fun and social atmosphere or just to relax and recharge for your next adventurous day, there is something here for everyone.

The location for the hostel is amazing if you want to stay in the jungle. However, we found the overall atmosphere of the hostel to be unfriendly. The staff on the desk were quite rude and standoff-ish. When asking simple questions we were left with blank stares. The whole hostel also feels like a money making scheme. Big push on going to the bar and once there played weird games aimed at you spending more money. The food was also not good value for money and the kitchen VERY limited.

Beautiful views, right in the middle of the jungle. Amazing vibes with other travelers. Really easy to meet people because there is literally nothing else there. Food is decent, 5 bucks a meal. Everything needs to be purchased. Coffee, tea, ... literally everything besides water from the sink. That's def the biggest downside. Other than that the dorms were pretty nice, and views were breathtaking. 20 minute hike up to the hostel from the road. Don't bring a suitcase. I highly recommend.
