*********FOR INTERNATIONAL GUEST ONLY*************The Brooklyn Riviera offers a clean safe environment for international travellers when visiting New York with a 10 to 15 minute walking distance to the A and C train, or the #3 train. We have a backyard area where we host BBQ's and also where you are allowed to smoke.
We are just about 30 minutes from midtown Manhattan where all the main attractions such as the Empire state building, Times Square, Rockefeller Center and more. All that New York has to offer. We have plenty of local bars and restaurants and the best place to try Caribbean food.
Our 4 bed dorms are equipped with two twin size bunk beds. Each bunk has a small shelf for small items such as your phone, wallet or purse, keys etc. Each bed space also has a small lamp for light when you do not want to disturb others, electric outlets for small devices and a curtain to add privacy and sleeping when others are awake.

There are no check ins allowed after 24:00 or 12am

It wasn’t as pleasing as I tought it would be. I was there one night and was glad for that. In First ten minutes i saw a bug!! Also I didn’t even get a blanket. I wasn’t feeling secure enough. The staff was so nice and accomodating, big +.

The staff is super nice and helpful.
The location is 10 minutes walking distance from subway. They provide earplugs (btw you need it, because you hear everything).
The cheapest hostel in NY but as people say “you get what you pay for “. I like Brooklyn but this area was pretty scary for me. They should have house rules about quiet hours. Our door was reaaaaaaly loud so when my roommates came back from the city and went back and forth to the bathroom at 2AM, that was everything but quite 😂

Super friendly atmosphere and staff. Great location in Brooklyn (near to subway, with lots of food options nearby). Kept very clean but felt rough round the edges (this was fine but may not necessarily be what someone wants for a hostel). No aircon which meant the room got quite hot in the peak summer heat but would be fine rest of the year (fans provided). Cosy communal spaces indoor and out. Provided free coffee and simple breakfast pastry/cake.
