Backstage Osaka Hostel and Bar is a cozy Guesthouse with a popular Cafe Bar located on the main street West-East in the heart of Osaka, 100 meters from the subway station and only a few minutes walk to Nipponbashi, Namba and Dotonbori the busiest and most fun areas of the town!

Osaka Castle can also be reached quickly, in about 10 minutes train ride.
We provide comfy beds equipped with memory foam mattresses and individual curtain for each bed, individual reading lights and high quality sheets and all our rooms have the safety/security equipment respecting strictly the latest regulations of Japan.
Lockers are also available for each room.
We recently created a new private room with a large double bed and en extra futon. One to three people can enjoy this 25m² room with private bathroom, Tv and desk. The best quality value for friends, family or couple.
Free Internet Wifi is provided in all our rooms, including in our Cafe Bar.
We also have a Cafe Bar located on ground floor for everyone to meet and share great time together with both locals and Guests, we have a lot of drinking options.
You can enjoy a warm coffee or tea in the afternoon while preparing your next day on your computer or enjoy a fresh pint of beer after a hard day walking! :)

Great hostel. Dani was a great host tending the cafe and bar area. It’s in a perfect area where you are just 5 minutes from the train and 10-15 from the main area of Osaka.
It’s cool that locals stop into the cafe and you’re able to converse with them. A cool experience.
All my hostel mates were social. I had a great stay

Weird place. Reception isn’t open often so can’t ask staff for tips if you miss them. Rooms are fine but hot at night. One bathroom and shower for 12 on my floor, not great. Only place to hang out is the tiny bar where no one ever was. Would not recommend going to
