Property Description
Hostel Rhodas opened its doors six years ago with one goal in mind - To offer travellers an escape from the much too common corporate hostel experience.
Hostel Rhodas can be best described as your home-away-from-home. Nestled in the heart of downtown Puebla and with deep roots in the local community, Hostel Rhodas aims to give you an authentic Mexican experience for every day that you stay with us. We offer many traditional activities, such as 'family' dinners, rooftop fiestas with views of the sunset and authentic Mexican cookery classes with our very own hostel Abuela (Grandma).
The building previously belonged to an ancient Spanish family and is situated on the site of an ancient colonial monastery. Some of the walls still remain and we work hard to preserve them. Our hostel host Manuel is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the building and the surrounding area, so please don’t hesitate to ask!
Hostel Rhodas is located in the safest part of the city, a short 10-minute walk away from the Puebla Cathedral and Zocalo (centre). Here you can find many food and drinks options, markets, shopping and tour buses for the full Puebla experience! Puebla has many great markets to offer, from antiques and crafts to homemade traditional foods.
Come and join us in our beautiful social spaces for some tequila and great conversation.
We have a comfortable and well-lit hangout area with strong WiFi, electrical outlets for your devices and our own small library. Finished a book and tired of carrying it around? We'd love you to take part in our hostel book exchange! Simply swap one of your books for one in the library and away you go! We also have a beautiful rooftop with stunning views - join us for a beautiful Mexican sunset with views of the Popocatépetl (Popo) Volcano.
Dinner can be included at an extra cost - you won't find anywhere better or cheaper in Puebla!
If you are looking for the truest and most authentic Mexican experience available, then Hostel Rhodas is the place for you.

We loved our stay here! Make sure you fully read and understand what this property is offering. It is a cosy stay with a warm family feeling to it. The rooms were spotless and Miguel and his mother were both so welcoming. We'll definitely stay here again if we come back to Puebla.
