● Check-in time is 16:00 – 21:00. Check-out time is 11:00.
● The entrance will be locked at 21:00. If you are late, your reservation is automatically canceled, and the cancellation fee is needed. Please be forewarned.
● There is no curfew after check-in. The guests could go out and come back freely.
● We could keep the luggage before check-in time and after check out time. (Reception hours 8:30-14:30/16:00-21:00)
● The guests can pay with cash or credit card at check-in. Credit cards are available. VISA, MasterCard are acceptable.
The Historical Architecture
● Please kindly note that it has low sound insulation, cause the original appearance of 100 years historical architecture is kept as much as possible.
● Although the stairs are steep, sounds and voices are easy to echo, we accept children aged 3. We hope children to be familiar with the original charm of Machiya, unique to traditional Japanese life style.

● From Kyoto Station Bus Terminal “B3” platform, Kyoto City Bus “205” ride. Get off “Shichijo-Omiya, Kyoto Aquarium” bus stop, One minute walk.

It was weird, the whole time there was no staff on site. I get that during the COVID crisis but now that it's over it would be nice to have staff to talk to for questions, advice, etc. We were in the annex and our wifi connection was really bad (almost none) and there was no one we could talk to about it.
The neighborhood is not nice but it's close to the station (and there are cheap buses to go everywhere)
They made rice pudding in the morning which was nice. The room was spacious.

Good little hostel, super close to Kyoto Station which is very nice. I could never find anyone at reception and the hostel is split into different buildings so you have to go in and out of the street. Beds were decently comfortable but we couldn’t figure out how to use the lockers (there also being no one to give us a hand at reception)
Great spot if you just want to have somewhere to go to at night.

Lovely place, would stay here again. Be advised that it is a bit of a trek from the rails but Kyoto functions best on buses which are on the doorstep
