Enjoy also a big variety of restaurants and pastry shops and know Portugal from how it tastes, and we can assure you it is an amazing taste! Only 5 minutes away walking to Aliados, the main square in Porto, where the city starts to pulse, and enjoy the very nice view from Ribeira and Clérigos Tower in a walking distance from the hostel.

The location is amazing and I felt very safe there. I also loved the bed curtains. Kitchen could have been cleaner but it was managable and it is problem of the people not the staff. For some reason the code didn't work for the second door, it worked for the other 2, but it was possible to open the door through my phone, so it was okay. Bathroom on our level was broken, so we had to use the one on the 1st floor but it was spacious and clean. Overall good value for the money!

Staff is very nice,but hygiene doesn't seem a priority or they don't know how to handle it well.My mattress had stains and the mattress protector was very thin and way too small.And i have seen them not changing it -just brushing it off- for new guests.There are carpets and lots of unnecessary fabrics (regarding hygiene) in the bedroom and bathroom as well as many odd smells.The bathroom smells acrid and there is a lot of mould on the ceiling. I have seen way worse,but didn't feel comfortable.

Likes: you have to have access to three different doors before reaching the bedroom so it was quite secure in that sense, right next to the metro, close to the centre, curtains on beds.
Dislikes: not a great vibe for meeting people, I didn’t really see anyone hanging out that didn’t already know each other, not a lot of common space, kitchen is the size of a typical family home so could get cramped, bathrooms were a little unclean but nothing major, not enough room to store a large back pack.
