The hosts are so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the location is good for onward travel out of Kandy. The hostel was a little hard to find, and the rooms are pretty basic, but otherwise I would highly recommend My City Beds.

Great find. We arrived in the evening in Kandy after an unpleasant stay in Sigiriya & were struggling to find a bed for the night. We managed to book here.
It was nice and peaceful, & mostly mosquito free! The beds were very comfortable, fans help to cool you down, the WiFi is great & there’s lockers to secure your belongings.
The man & woman on the reception desk were very helpful throughout our stay & we can’t thank them enough.
It was the best nights sleep we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far!

here during quiet season and it’s a little further out from the hustle of Kandy centre, but it’s well located to the main attractions. The owner couldn’t have been more helpful - he assisted us with booking train tickets and an amazing tour to Sigiriya. He made sure to get photos to us and gave us lots of tips for our stay. It really made our stay in Sri Lanka amazing and the tour to sigiriya was a highlight. The room was clean and the bed was amazingly comfy! Overall v happy
