At Kona Beach Hostel we strive to offer our guests the best experience while staying with us. Our staff members are very friendly and can provide you with information about the Big Island so you can make the most out of your experience in Hawaii.
We are located in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona, steps from Kailua Pier, numerous bars, restaurants, shops, farmers markets, and numerous beaches. We are only 2.5 miles from the famous Magic Sands beach, directly across the street from Honls beach, and a 20 minutes drive from world famous snorkel, scuba, and hiking locations including Captain Cook trail head & monument, Two Step Bay, and Kealakekua Bay.
Our facilities include co-ed and female dormitories as well as private rooms, a fully equipped communal kitchen, shaded common areas to talk story, a BBQ grill, a laundry area, and Wi-Fi.

Thank you to Sally and the crew at Kona Beach Hostel! A beautifully kept property, check in was very easy and had a very accomodating and pleasant experience. Absolute perfect location within brief walking distance to the beach to watch the sunset and close to the shops. Will be back!

I cannot say enough about this true Hawaiian gem. The location is absolutely stellar. Positioned right in the heart of town and merely steps from the ocean, the value is simply unbeatable. So many fun shops, activities, bars & restaurants all located within a few minutes walk of the hostel gates. The free public trolly goes by the hostel hourly, allowing for inexpensive trips further into town. It is such a comfortable environment -& I felt it was safe being a solo female traveler. Great Staff.
